This publication is all about black and white photography. To organize the varied elements — a photo essay, interviews, and quotes — I created a structured and minimalistic design. The text describes the importance of black and white photography and what it signifies.

I created a custom typeface (page numbers on the contents page) to match the modernist photographs and layout. To do so, I used the online Prototypo system and experimented with scale.

Designing the cover was a challenge. First, I wanted the designs to be as clear as possible in order to reflect the quality of the content. Step-by-step, I added elements to fill the negative space. To match the inside of the publication, I added a full-page image that fits the entire front and back cover, then added titles.
